The Guthrie Clinic is a nonprofit multispecialty health system with 9,500 caregivers, including over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers. With a mission to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and compassionate environment, Guthrie supports caregivers with opportunities for ongoing development and comprehensive benefits to support them and their families. This commitment to caregiver wellbeing has gained many accolades for The Guthrie Clinic, including recent recognition as a great place to work by Becker’s Healthcare and earning two employee experience awards from Press Ganey.
To support caregiver wellbeing, The Guthrie Clinic has partnered with CuraLinc to offer confidential and personalized mental health care and resources. This partnership has led to lower rates of depression and anxiety, higher productivity, and reduced absenteeism and risk of hazardous alcohol use.
CuraLinc analyzed the health and productivity of Guthrie caregivers who used the EAP in 2023 through a holistic intake and follow-up process.
CuraLinc’s Care Advocates, all of whom are licensed mental health counselors, use the following clinically validated tools to assess risk and identify an appropriate care plan:
SPS-6 and WOS identifies productivity concerns
GAD-2 and PHQ-9 measure anxiety and depression risk
AUDIT assesses alcohol misuse
Caregivers were then matched to providers with confirmed availability who fit their individual clinical needs and personal preferences. This included factors such as modality (in-person or virtual), experience, gender, and cultural background.
After completing treatment, CuraLinc’s Care Advocates check in with participants to measure their health and productivity, evaluate their satisfaction with the program, and offer referrals to additional resources when needed. CuraLinc proudly earned a 97% satisfaction rate from Guthrie caregivers in 2023.
